Tragedy struck the Town of Westernville one afternoon on July 8, 2021.
An EF-1 tornado unexpectedly surged through Westernville ripping roofs off houses, uprooting trees and destroying the neighborhood that was just recovering from two floods earlier that summer. The Griffin Charitable Foundation donated $50,000 to the Westernville Fire Department who will take responsibility distributing to those affected by the Tornado.
